Y Market One and Only Hazy IPA is a 7% Hazy IPA from Y Market Brewing, based in Nagoya, in Aichi, Japan. It’s part of their efforts for the “One and Only” project. Y Market One and Only Hazy IPA Aroma and Taste
Y Market One and Only Hazy IPA, as the name suggests, poured out a hazy golden orange colour with a thick, plump white head on top that clung to the side of the glass throughout drinking. The aroma coming off of Y Market One and Only Hazy IPA was citrusy and piney: think along the lines of orange, grapefruit, pineapple, and mango, with a resinous pine nose coming through too. The beer had a slight malt sweetness to it that wasn’t cloying but definitely cut through the hops.
Y Market One and Only Hazy IPA kicked off with a subtle hop bitterness that quickly mellowed out to a tropical fruit flavour along the lines of the nose. A tangy citrus smooth and juicy flavour with flavours of orange, grapefruit, pineapple, and pine coming through. The flavours lingered through right into the aftertaste, with a thick juicy mouthfeel.
