Kakegawa Tachibana White Aroma and Taste
Kakegawa Tachibana White poured out a hazy dark burnt straw colour with a medium amount of plump white head on top. It had a pithy orange-like aroma to it, with some funky Belgian yeast notes coming off it too. The aromas were quite straightforward when chilled, but some sour notes came through once Kakegawa Tachibana White had been given the chance to warm up a little bit. Not too off-putting but enough to be of note.
Kakegawa Tachibana White had an initial Belgian yeast funk off the bat, but the pithy orange flavours came through to take it away. Quite obvious but the astringent nature to Kakegawa Tachibana White was a bit on the strong side. After a while, the flavours to Kakegawa Tachibana White did end up being a bit one-dimensional – pithy, yeast funk, pithy, yeast funk – however, the slight spicy coriander flavour was a welcome distraction albeit faint.
Kakegawa Tachibana White The Bottom Line
Kakegawa Tachibana White is ok but needs refining to remove the pithiness to it.
