Mojiko Retro Beer is a craft beer brewery located in Fukuoka, Kyushu. They started brewing in 1998 and have been consistently producing mostly German style beers since, with Minematsu Kōnosuke, who became the head brewer in 2003. Since opening in 1998, it took almost 16 years for Mojiko Retro Beer to bring out a new beer – an amber style beer – that came out in 2014. This is mainly due to the size of the brewery as they only produce 700l batches at a time. Mojiko Retro Beer isn’t easy to find outside of the area although since 2016, their beers have become slightly easier to find in the Kanto and Kansai areas now that Mojiko Retro Beer’s reputation has been spread out.
