Nobody The Triphop : Background
Nobody The Triphop is a 5.5% hazy IPA from Nobody Brewing, the spin-off brewery from Teenage Brewing based in Saitama. It’s part of their canned and draught lineup, though its availability is unknown at the time of writing. At the time of writing, it’s unknown what hops went into the making of this beer, as for some reason, Teenage Brewing did not release that information.

Nobody The Triphop : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
Nobody The Triphop poured out a dull yellow colour with a slight amount of white head adorning a very hazy body. The head didn’t last long, leaving a few bubbles down the side of the glass with a touch of streaks, though they faded too.
The aroma coming from the beer began with a slight citrus nose, with hints of grapefruit and alongside it some lemon, though they weren’t as punchy as I hoped they would be – almost as if the amount of hops used had been dialled back. After that, and also after giving the beer some time to warm up, a touch of tropical notes came through, with it being split between mango and pineapple, yet again though, the hops were less punchy as expected, giving Nobody The Triphop an overall feeling of a hazy IPA having been brewed on a dialled back receipe, perhaps to save the hops for the “good” stuff.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise then that the body was equally as “limp” as the aroma, with the flavours being dialled back, almost muted, in comparison to other hazy IPAs I’ve had from Teenage Brewing in the past. The bitterness, though present, was fast and fleeting, with it being a mere blink-and-miss-it flavour. The hoppy flavours were also muted, with just a meagre body of citrus and tropical notes being present.

Triphop is a style of music with gentle ambience and slow tempos – guess that explains why Nobody The Triphop is so soft and light in terms of aroma and flavour.
