Nomcraft Juicy Snooze : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
Nomcraft Juicy Snooze poured out a vibrant golden colour with a thin layer of white head on top that dissipated away quickly, leaving a few bubbles around the edge.
It was in the aroma where this beer stood out – a big punchy bouquet of citrus and tropical fragrance from start to the finish, and then leaving some aroma after in the glass. Nomcraft Juicy Snooze had a citrus nose of lemon and orange, with a smidgen of grapefruit thrown in for good measure; contrasting against a mango and pineapple tropical combination that worked with the citrus notes. There was a touch of malt sweetness present that supported the hoppy aromas, though it remained firmly a supporting note.
Drinking this beer began with a smooth bitterness that remained on the palate for a lengthy amount of time, though it never threatened to become dominant over the hops. As in the aroma, the citrus and tropical hoppy notes were pronounced throughout drinking; a soothing combination on the palate though it didn’t develop into anything else. Nomcraft Juicy Snooze finished off with a slightly sticky flourish in the end.
Nomcraft Juicy Snooze : The Bottom Line
A solid hazy IPA effort from Nomcraft Brewing. A shame that this could be a one-off.
