Shibataya : Background
Shibataya is another one of those shops we came across when trying to find places to buy some craft beer online – which craft beer it was is lost to the sands of time. Yet the bookmark remains on our ever growing list of places of places to buy craft beer online. However, with some more deep diving, it turns out that the parent company is the same one behind Hakko Bistro Sake-Ya Kitami in Komae, Tokyo.
The shop primarily deals with nihonshu and wine, though there are a number of domestic craft breweries available to purchase. There are both domestic and imported breweries available, though with bricks and mortars stores also stocking the goods, there may be some delays in updating the goods online.
