Craft Beer Base Hop Schema 044 is a 7% American IPA from Craft Beer Base Lab from Osaka. It’s part of their bottled and draught lineup. As the name suggests, it is the 44th version of an IPA from the brewery and it contains only Mosaic hops. These hops are known as Elixir in France and were imported from there. The beer also contains yellow koji as part of the grain bill. At the time of writing, it is unknown if this is a one-off beer, or will be repeated.

Craft Beer Base Hop Schema 044 : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
The beer poured out a vibrant golden straw colour with a plump white head on top. The head dissipated slowly, leaving some streaks down the side of the glass during drinking,
With this being a Mosaic beer, I was hoping for something punchy off the nose. Without fail, it was full Mosaic aroma; think passion fruit and orange, with lemon and grapefruit. In addition, as it warmed up, some pineapple came through with a touch of grape quality to it.
The body began with a mild bitterness that lingered though did not dominate. As in the aroma, the body was full fruited Mosaic flavours. Lashings of tropical and citrus flavours came pouring through. Furthermore, it had medium level of sweetness from the malts, creating a mixed fruit juice like flavour. In the end, there was a slight stickiness in the aftertaste, and well rounded flavour.
