Rather than writing up individual reviews for these beers, we’ve come up with a page of beers for our recent trip to Yokohama Bay Brewing The FRont– which is a bar located in the Yokohama The Front building. As these are draught beers, there is no guarantee that they will be on tap if and when you go there and with there being others Yokohama Bay Brewing bars, there is no guarantee that what we had at this bar will occur at other places.

Yokohama Bay Brewing German Pils : Mini Review
Appearance : Slight haze, but generally to style. Light golden straw colour with a plump head of small clean white bubbles.
Aroma : Not quite to style – some floral hop aroma and a snap of malt but a touch too much sulfur on the nose. As the beer warms up, malt profile becomes more pronounced compared to hops.
Body : Light body, crisp, and floral hop profile. Malt snap in the end but a touch too bitter for the style. Easily drinkable still.
Yokohama Bay Brewing Yuzu Weiss : Details
- Alcohol : 5.3%
- Style : Fruit beer
- IBU : –
Name of Beer : Mini Review
Appearance : Cloudy hazy body with a lemon like colour to the body. Head was plump and fluffy with lots of smaller bubbles on top.
Aroma : Pungent yuzu aroma throughout drinking – you’ve got to like yuzu for this beer. There is a touch of wheat and phenols in the background but it’s all about the yuzu here.
Body : Yuzu throughout with an astringency to it that’s snappy and thirst quenching. The body could do with a bit more balance to it, but the wheat comes through as the beer warms up.
