TDM 1874 Yokohama Lawnchair Aroma and Taste
TDM 1874 Yokohama Lawnchair poured out a light hazy golden colour with a large plump frothy white head on top that clung to the side of the glass throughout drinking. Despite being a session IPA, TDM 1874 Yokohama Lawnchair was big on the nose front with a large citrus nose to it, reminiscent of lemon and grapefruit. It also had a light dusting of pilsner bite to it – nothing too sweet or cloying but just enough to cut through the citrus aromas going on.
Being a session IPA, I was expecting a short, sharp jab to the palate, and I wasn’t disappointed as the bitterness came on thick and fast, but didn’t waste any time in lingering. For a “low alcohol” beer, the body to TDM 1874 Yokohama Lawnchair was thick and dry, with the citrus flavours of lemon and grapefruit bringing a sense of tartness to the body. Enough to prick up the tastebuds but not enough to dominate the flavour profile. Those same flavours lingered into the aftertaste, with a touch of dryness in the back.
TDM 1874 Yokohama Lawnchair The Bottom Line
TDM 1874 Yokohama Lawnchair is a cracking, full-bodied session IPA
