Shinanoya is a chain of small world food and craft beer shops located across Japan though this branch is located in Kannai, Yokohama. It’s a place that I’ve been to a few times now but have never managed to remember where it was for a review. After a mini bar crawl in the area, I stumbled across it again and managed to take some pictures and notes this time around. If you know the Kannai area well, then it’s easy to find when you’re sober – turn left out of the Baird Bashamichi taproom, and walk straight for about two minutes.
The beers are mostly from Shiga Kogen, with some Baird Beer, Coedo, Hitachino Nest, and some from Yo-Ho Brewing and Sankt Gallen as well. If you’re looking for some limited edition beers from Shiga Kogen, then you’ll more than likely find some here as well. While it’s not the biggest range of beers, the prices are hard to beat for a store as well with some of the cheapest prices for craft beer I’ve come across and the prices included tax too.
Unfortunately, Shinanoya doesn’t have an online store for the beer so you have to go there to pick it up.
