You wait for some beer festivals to come along in Kanto and you get two in quick succession, with the Keyaki Hiroba Spring Beer Festival over two weekends and then the Great Japan Beer Festival, Yokohama 2015 Spring, a new addition to the craft beer festival calendar. Held on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May, Great Japan Beer Festival, Yokohama 2015 Spring is a chance for you to try a variety of craft beers without worrying too much about the price.
Like the Japan Brewer’s Cup Festival in January, Great Japan Beer Festival, Yokohama 2015 Spring is held in Ōsanbashi pier, in Kannai so bring a torch or grab a seat outside if the weather holds. there are two sessions on the Saturday, with the first from 11:00 to 14:30 and the second session from 16:00 to 19:30. The Sunday only has one session as some people have work on the Monday but it starts from 12:30 to 16:00. Last orders are 15-minutes before closing to give people a chance to tidy up and clear up the numerous broken glasses.
Tickets for Great Japan Beer Festival, Yokohama 2015 Spring are ¥4,600 in advance or ¥5,000 on the day which gives you a special tasting glass, which for the first 600 people through the door is embossed with a special label, and also access to over 150 different beers. Tickets for two sessions can also be bought in advance at the measly sum of ¥8,400. Advance tickets are on sale until 22nd May.

How to Get To Great Japan Beer Festival – Osanbashi Pier
The closest station is Nihonodori on the Minatomirai line, about 7 minutes from Yokohama station. If you are coming on JR, then Kannai station is the closest on the Keihin-Tohoku Line.

Hi, thank you for the great info. I also think that will be great if people enjoy beers with HANABI, the Japanese style fireworks.
I heard that the one held in the Yamashita park, Yokohama city will be exciting, it seems that’s the newest fireworks recently in Kanagawa and Tokyo. Do you have any craft beer breweries at the event?
If so, we can help spread the word. Living Yokohama is across the road from there and Bay Brewing Yokohama are around the corner so they could help out.

I have confirmed that unfortunately the event won’t have Yokohama Craft beers but have Craft beers come from overseas. Would you think if the event still looks interesting your readers?
