Rather than writing up individual reviews for these beers, we’ve come up with a page of Tokaido Beer : Roundup for our recent trip to Kawasaki Craft Beer Stand. It’s a taproom located in Kawasaki for the local brewery Tokaido Beer. As these are draught beers, there is no guarantee that they will be on tap if and when you go there.

Tokaido Nolfin Yell : Mini Review
Appearance : It’s blue. No it’s not Abashiri Okhotsk Blue Ryuhyo Draft. Blue is from the local flower called verbana.
Aroma : Light citrus aroma with some pilsner notes and a touch of pine on the nose.
Body : Light and crisp, with some lemon and orange flavour present. Light body, with pilsner bite to it, and a slight bitterness throughout drinking. Better than it looks.

Tokaido Kuro ni Ukabu (Float in Black) : Mini Review
Appearance : Darkish brown colour with some flecks of black. Very thin head on top, with some bubbles that popped away.
Aroma : Light roasted coffee bean notes, with some roasted black malt present. Touch of chocolate and some caramel present as it warms up.
Body : Light and dry, with notes of chocolate and coffee during drinking. Slight acrid bitterness present as it warms up, but adds, rather than detracts, to the flavour. BEST OF THE BUNCH.
