Two Rabbits Single Hop IPA Idaho 7 Aroma and Taste

Two Rabbits Single Hop IPA Idaho 7 poured out a slightly hazy golden amber colour with a thin layer of white head on top. The aroma was mostly hops, with the Idaho 7 bringing a tropical dankness to proceedings. The aromas of pineapple, mango, guava, and peach came though, with just a dash of lemon and grapefruit following soon after. The malts brought just a hint of sweetness to the profile, with a light pilsner bite and some caramel tones faintly coming through.

The body started off with a reasonable amount of smooth bitterness to it – nothing punchy or face turning – but it was noticeable. Two Rabbits Single Hop IPA Idaho 7’s body followed a similar line of flavours as to the aroma – pineapple, mango, guava, with some lemon and grapefruit – that all blended together nicely and made Two Rabbits Single Hop IPA Idaho 7 a pleasure to drink. An edge of dankness supported the fruitiness of the beer, and gave it a balanced profile. In terms of malt, there was just a soft edge of sweetness that became a little more pronounced as the beer warmed up, but was never overpowering or cloying.
