The Niigata Craft Beer Festival is almost upon us and is in its sixth year. Held over two days, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th June, the craft beer festival has over 20 breweries in attendance, making it the biggest one so far. It’s held in Niigata city itself, in Furamachi Mall 5-6 itself. The event is open from 11:00 to 21:00 on Saturday, and from 11:00 to 18:00 on the Sunday.
Tickets can be bought in advance with two tiers of tickets available. For ¥1,800 you get four tickets of beer (200ml) and a plastic cup, while the more expensive tier is ¥3,500 which gets you eight tickets of beer (200ml) and a limited edition glass for you to take home or break, depending on how clumsy you are. If you buy the tickets on the day, then prices go up to ¥2,000 and ¥4,000 respectively but the second doesn’t include the limited edition glass, at the time of writing. Additional tickets cost ¥500 on the day.
