Nippon Craft Beer Festival 2015

A bit late to the show with this one, but the Nippon Craft Beer Festival 2015 is coming up on Saturday 7th February and Sunday 8th February at Sumida Riverside Hall, Sumida-ku. There are a variety of events over the two days, but the second day appears to be the most interesting.

The Saturday of the Nippon Craft Beer Festival 2015 starts from 11am and goes on until 4pm and the Sunday starts at the same time; however, runs until 7pm. For those single readers looking for a craft beer partner, there is a beer con, or beer dating event on the Saturday from 5:30pm until 8pm. Tickers are ¥5,900 for men, and ¥3,900 for women. Tickets included the entrance fee and 8 beers.

On the Sunday of Nippon Craft Beer Festival 2015 there is also a beer cruise option along the Sumida river. The first session starts at 1pm until 3pm and tickets are ¥4,500 and is limited to 100 people, and a second session along the lines of the beer dating event from 4pm to 6pm and is limited to 50 men and 50 women. Tickers are ¥5,900 for men, and ¥4,500 for women. There are also three beer seminars on the Sunday: the first session starts from 12pm to 1pm, the second from 1:30pm to 2:30pm, and the final session from 3pm to 4pm.

The line up at Nippon Craft Beer Festival 2015 is also impressive, considering the Keyaki Hiroba Festival and Great Japan Beer Festival in Yokohama are the two main events in the Kantō area. The line of breweries with 60+ beers on tap includes:

Tickets can be bought in advance for ¥3,900 and include 10 beer tickets that will get you 10 100ml servings of beer though numbers are limited to 700 people on both days. There are also a limited amount of special edition tickets that are the same price but include a limited edition glass, and limited to 350 people on both days. Tickets can also be bought on the day for ¥4,500.

How to Get To Nippon Craft Beer Festival 2015

The Sumida Riverside Hall can be reached by a variety of routes though the closest station is Honjoazumabashi Station, Tokyo.
