Shared Hazy Tropics : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
Shared Hazy Tropics poured out an opaque pineapple yellow colour with barely any head on it whatsoever, besides a couple of bubbles as seen in the picture.
This beer reeked of hops – and that’s meant in a good way. The tropical notes from Shared Hazy Tropics consisted of mango and pineapple, while also having some citrus notes of grapefruit and lemon being present. Underlying all of this was a slightly sweet base that was supporting, instead of cloying, and helped to make Shared Hazy Tropics feel like a fruit juice rather than a beer.
From start to finish, Shared Hazy Tropics tasted like a mixed fruit juice. The tropical and citrus flavours played off well with one another and the beer had a solid mouthfeel to it that was bursting with flavour. At 6%, the alcohol was undetectable and I couldn’t find anything wrong with this beer. Even the second and third can – I’m learning now to pick up more than one beer from Shared Brewery – tasted as good as the first.
Shared Hazy Tropics : The Bottom Line
A fantastic well-made hazy IPA yet again from Shared Brewery.
