Streetlight BAC IPA : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
I picked this can up at Streetlight Brewing’s taproom back in February 2025 and at the time, I didn’t know how hard information about this beer was going to be.
First of all, the beer poured out a dark golden honey colour with a thick haze to the body. The head on top was plump and frothy, leaving some sticky rings around the side of the glass during drinking. Though with the thirst I had on, Streetlight BAC IPA didn’t last long!
The aroma was delicious fruity with lots going on. There was an inital aroma of citrus fruits – grapefruits, lemons, and oranges – before moving onto a tropical nose of mango and pineapple. It was fabulously balanced and easy going on the nose, with just a smidgen of malt sweetness lingering beneath it all.
Finally, the body came with a smooth, balanced out bitterness that lingered throughout drinking. Paired with the citrus and tropical flavours, it wasn’t a surprise that this beer lasted less than 10 minutes in the glass. I’m just glad that I had the foresight to take it out of the fridge to warm up a bit.
Streetlight BAC IPA : The Bottom Line
A well made beer that for some reason, won’t find the light of day – ironic considering the name of the brewery.
