Yellow Beer Works Yellow Castle : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste

Yellow Beer Works Yellow Castle poured out a hazy golden straw colour with a thick white head on top that left some thick rings around the side of the glass during drinking.

The was a distinct, but clean, hoppy aroma off the beer, with a citrus and tropical aroma at first. This consisted of some lemon and orange, alongside some mango and pineapple. Yet as Yellow Beer Works Yellow Castle warmed up, there was a slightly mysterious aroma coming off that was slightly peachy – an off aroma from stressing of the yeast or one imparted from the hops? There was a touch of malt sweetness lingering underneath all of it, though it stayed firmly in the undercurrent.

With the big fruity nose, I was hoping for more of the same in the body, and I am glad to say that it was equally as bold in the body. Lashing of citrus and tropical flavours were present, with more of the peachiness sitting alongside all of it. It was more of a natural peach flavour, than a chemically infected one so that was a good ending for that. In the end, the tropical notes won out in Yellow Beer Works Yellow Castle, with them hanging through into the aftertaste, with some light malt sweetness too for good measure,

Yellow Beer Works Yellow Castle : The Bottom Line

A delightful beer to have in a can – will definitely be trying it on tap if I come across it.
