Novoru Session IPA : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste

The beer had a slightly hazy body to it, with a large plump white head. That head stayed around during drinking, leaving long, white streaks down the glass.

In terms of aroma, it definitely had a punch to it that was more IPA than pale ale. The hops brought a citrus lemon and grapefruit aroma. Alongside that, there was a subtle floral note to it all as the beer warmed up. The malts were lighter in comparison, with some faint sweetness in the nose.

With this being a session IPA, I was expecting a light body, which I got. However, it was the smooth bitterness to the body that was a pleasant surprise. It lingered from start to finish, with the citrus and floral hop flavour that was similar to the nose. Finally, there was a faint sweetness, not enough to detract from the hops, but enough to balance out.

The Bottom Line

A really good session IPA and one that I will come back for when I see it.
