Tall Boys Winter Breakfast Coffee Stout Aroma and Taste

Tall Boys Winter Breakfast Coffee Stout poured out a lively pitch black colour with a thin amount of tan coloured head on top that faded to a few bubbles around the side of the glass. Tall Boys Winter Breakfast Coffee Stout, when chilled, had smooth roasted coffee aroma to it, but as it warmed up, so the flavours opened up more. There was a rich chocolate and coffee aroma to it of course, along with some light cocoa aroma with a dusting of caramel and what could only be described as a wheaty crackery nose to it.

The body started off smooth, though there was a slightly bitter, roasted coffee element to it at the same time. It wasn’t as bold as you would find in a fresh pot, but it had some dark roast elements to it. As Tall Boys Winter Breakfast Coffee Stout warmed up, the chocolate flavour came through more, with a lightness of cocoa to it. The body was lighter than your average stout, and but the flavours stick around for longer on the palate, with the roasted coffee and chocolate flavours being the ones that lasted the longest.
