Furusato Matsuri Tokyo 2020 in Tokyo

It’s held from January 10th until January 19th in the Tokyo Dome, so come rain or shine, you’ll stay dry and warm inside. The weekends are busy though so it’s not a bad idea to go along during the evenings if possible. From the 10th until the 18th, the event is on from 10:00 to 21:00, while on the 19th it’s on from 10:00 to 18:00.

The 2020 event is due to have over 100 breweries from across Japan, making it the largest non-craft beer specific festival that celebrates craft beer. It will involve a lot of walking though to get to all the breweries as the stalls are set up by regions. Expect Hokkaido breweries to be in the Hokkaido area, Kyushu breweries to be in the Kyushu area, and so on. Even the map provided by Furusato Matsuri Tokyo doesn’t have any guide to it.

Tickets for the event can be bought in advance at the Furasato Matsuri Tokyo 2020 site

  • General tickets are ¥1,600 in advance or ¥1,800 on the day,
  • Weekday tickets are ¥1,200 in advance or ¥1,400 on the day,
  • Evening tickets (from 16:00) are ¥1,200.
