Beer Hoppers Festival Machida 2014Beer Hoppers Festival Machida is different from other festivals as the hopping part refers to people going between different bars in Machida. The Beer Hoppers Festival Machida 2013 was a big hit with four bars partaking in the event, offering up over fifty different craft beers for those willing to schlep it around Machida station in Kanagawa.

Held on the 23rd and 24th November, tickets are available on the day and cost ¥3,200 for which you get twelve glasses of 100ml and a special commemorative glass too. Entrance for Beer Hoppers Festival Machida is usually ¥800 per bar, and ¥200 per a beer so depending on how much you drink, it could be cheaper to get the bulk ticket. The event stretches over two days and three time slots. There are two slots on the Sunday, with the first from 13:00 to 17:00 and the second from 18:00 to 22:00. The Monday slot is from 13:00 to 18:00.

Beer Hoppers Festival Machida is a little on the pricey side considering the other events throughout the year; however, the event is expanding year on year. In 2012, there were thirty different beers so here’s hoping Beer Hoppers Festival Machida is bigger than ever.
